Accomplishments

  • Ph.D. in English literature from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
  • Professor at the Rhodes College in Memphis and Stanford University’s Structured Liberal Education program
  • Published articles on Darwinian ideas of emotional expression in performance, Henrik Ibsen’s influence in Ireland, and narrative presentations of visual and theatrical effects

Prof. Bogucki teaches courses on writing and literary studies, as well as genre theory and narrative ethics. He holds a Ph.D. in English Literature from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received his B.A. in History and English from the University of Delaware. He joined the faculty at Minerva in 2016.

As a teacher, Prof. Bogucki focuses on the ways writing is not only about producing texts but is also itself a form of thinking. He teaches the first-year Cornerstone course in Multimodal Communications as well as Core and Concentration courses in the Arts and Literature track. He currently directs the Minerva Writing Studio and helps lead regular poetry workshops for the Minerva community.
